For at least the third time since late September, Delaware officials reported people experiencing difficulties when dialing or texting 911.

This time, the disruption lasted nearly three hours on Sunday and it affected AT&T cellphone users in Kent and Sussex counites until it was solved around 2 p.m.

State officials said these users were experiencing difficulties when dialing or texting 911.

Last month, callers to 911 statewide received a busy signal, whether they used a landline or cellphone. Then on Monday, the state said cellphone users in Kent and Sussex counites were experiencing difficulties when dialing 911.

Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security Spokeswoman Gina Chasanov said the state 911 administrator is in contact with the state's service providers to get a better understanding of what is causing Sunday's disruption and how soon service can be restored.

"After service is restored and further information is available, we expect to know more about these issues," Chasanov said.

Sunday's difficulties were made public about 11:25 a.m. Chasanov sent out an email at 2:17 p.m. saying the issues were resolved.
